1. Who can use Dormly

Dormly is a marketplace and community built around campuses. One account per person. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and for keeping your password secure.

2. What Dormly is (and isn't)

Dormly lets students list items, jobs, housing, events, and posts, and message each other about them. Dormly is a venue: we are not a party to any transaction, we don't handle payment between buyers and sellers, we don't inspect items, and we don't guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing. Any deal you make is between you and the other student.

3. Prohibited items and conduct

You may not list, sell, request, or promote:

• Weapons, ammunition, or explosives
• Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, or drug paraphernalia
• Prescription medication or academic-integrity services (essays for hire, exam answers, homework completion)
• Stolen or counterfeit goods, or items that infringe intellectual property
• Animals, hazardous materials, or recalled products
• Adult content or services
• Anything illegal under local, state, or federal law, or against your school's code of conduct

You also may not harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users; spam or scam; impersonate anyone; scrape the platform; misrepresent an item; or attempt to move a prohibited transaction off-platform to evade these rules.

4. Your content

You own what you post. By posting, you give Dormly a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the service so the product works. You promise your content doesn't violate anyone else's rights. We may remove any content or listing at our discretion, including anything reported by other users.

5. Safety, reporting, and enforcement

Use the report and block tools if something looks wrong. We may investigate reports, remove content, restrict features, suspend, or permanently ban accounts, with or without notice. Meet in public places on campus, inspect items before paying, and never wire money in advance. If you feel unsafe, contact your campus police.

6. Paid features

Optional paid promotions (such as Campus Boost) are non-refundable once the promotion starts, except where required by law. Promotion of a listing is not an endorsement of it.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Dormly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dormly and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any dispute, loss, or injury arising from transactions or interactions between users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid Dormly in the past 12 months.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, graduate out of eligibility, or remain inactive for an extended period. Sections 4, 7, and 9 survive termination.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app, and continued use after changes means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Questions: contact the Dormly team through the app.
